About the Apple Tree

The Apple Tree opened June 1, 1980 at 7204 E. 41st Street with a small store of 2000 square feet. Since that time it has remained in the same location but has expanded its retail space to 10,000 square feet plus warehouse space at another location.

Two former teachers, along with their husbands, formed the corporation for the purpose of providing quality learning materials for home, school and church and feel very strongly about the importance of taking an active role and contributing in the education of our children.

They continued to operate the business until 2006 when they sold the company to a long time employees family who now operate The Apple Tree with the same philosophies just as the founders had.

As a Tulsa based business, we are Members of the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce and a participant in the Tulsa Public Schools "Partners in Education Program". The Apple Tree is a member of the National School Supply and Equipment Association (NSSEA) and was awarded with a 25 year membership plaque in 2006. Recently, we were awarded by the Oklahoma Magazine as one of the "Best of the Best" Toy Stores for 2007.
